Beyond the Realms (2026) is a live improvised piece for ‘Sonic Staff’, a DIY project. This staff is a martial art-inspired device that converts movement into sound.
Realms features traditional Chinese and Western instruments and field recordings to craft soundscapes that move between noise/music, nature/digital, and recorded/live. As an accessible performance, anyone who can wield this staff can learn how to perform it.
